My MP3 player threw out Arctic Monkeys' A Certain Romance earlier today and I was reminded of my 'knackered converse', gathering dust in the back of my wardrobe.
During my uni days, I lived in Converse. But I'm creeping scarily close to the big 3-0, which somehow makes me question whether I should be swapping them for something more sophisticated.
Who am I kidding?
Here I am (below) donning my old grey pair for a student style post a few months back.
I've teamed them with an old pair of skinnies, a Matalan satchel and a fluffy H&M jumper. I'm yet to work out whether it's a fox/mouse/rat/other on the front, though. Any ideas?
There's something about Converse and flat shoes in general that makes me feel younger somehow.
Next on my wishlist? A pair of pixie boots. There's also more than a little something about these 80s-esque electric blue heels. Don't you agree? I love a good pair of court shoes.
What do you reckon? Can you get away with wearing Converse well into your 30s....

I don't know about you, but I'm dreading the heavy snow that's forecast. I've done my knees in doing this, and I can't afford to have a fall. It'll be clumpy trainers on the way for me for the time-being. Wish me luck...
