Since moving house over a month ago, my oily skin has absolutely erupted.
I'm not sure if it's the change of water, the stress of the move and new job, or just hormones. Needless to say I've been more than a little hacked off. No one wants to start a new job with a face like a dot-to-dot picture, eh?
And I've tried everything lately; supplements, topical treatments - I even asked my acupuncturist to put some needles in my face (ouch).

One of the perks of my stint working in Boots' head office was the staff shop and its clearance section. For whatever reason, gift sets and individual products aplenty ended up in here - often with more than 50% off.
I picked up this La Roche Posay gem (normally about £25) for £3 - and was eager to give it a good go.
I'm a big fan of La Roche Posay anyway, and have used the brand's oily/sensitive gel cleanser for some time. But I was keen to see what all the fuss was about surrouding the Effaclar Duo - have a peek at Makeupalley for the lowdown.
After using the gel cleanser before bed, I slapped a dollop of this on my face before rubbing it into my problem areas.
In the morning, I could definitely see a big improvement and though it's very drying, I'm tres impressed with this product. What I will say, though, is make sure you have a good moisturiser (or a tube of E45 cream) to hand to alliviate any dry patches.
Have you tried anything by La Roche Posay? The brand's Daily Renewal Fluid is also well worth a look to combat oily skin.
What is your failsafe product for breakouts?
PS: If you're struggling to find this set, (I've tried to find it online, with no luck) you can buy the products separately at Boots and online.

I love La Roche Posay, really impressed with the Hydreane Riche Moisturiser. I raved about it on my blog recently. I'm pretty dependant on my No 7 cleanser at the moment but am curious to give a La Roche Posay one a go!
