Ah Ascot - a chance to parade around in a fancy hat like a 'laydee', or a cattle market for the young and tasteless?
Organisers of the show seem to be leaning towards the latter, enforcing a strict 'dress code' for this year's event - according to this article.
Actual 'fashion police' will be turning up to the show to ensure folk are 'dressed appropriately' and reminders have duly been sent out advising all ticket holders to dress smartly.

Personally, I love seeing the fashion magazines' coverage of the event and I'm all for a bit of fun. But I prefer the more imaginative sartorial creations to the downright skimpy. Tradition's tradition, after all.

Sorry Amanda, I may share your surname but I do not share your taste in hats.
What do you think? Should Ascot be a show of taste and decency where fashion's concerned, or are the event's 'fashion police' too stringent. Should attendees be allowed to wear what they want?
I'd love to know your thoughts...

wow how can she balance that huge cone on her head? I also really love the coverage of Ascot but more for giggles than inspiration:)
