Eagle eyed ALTH readers will have read my recent post about a brand new skin care feature on my blog; one in which I test face packs (both high street and high end) on the quest for better skin.
So, without further ado...under the spotlight for the very first PF is....
As well as being seduced by the price (I paid about £3.49 in Sainbury's of this Good Things Five Minute Facial Mask, the fact that its free from parabens and that it's been a favourite of quite a few bloggers were also deal breakers when I popped out to buy my very first PF subject.
The blurb:
"GOOD THINGS SKINCARE HAS BEEN DEVELOPED BY AWARD-WINNING BEAUTY WRITER ALICE HART-DAVIS USING HER YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE BEAUTY INDUSTRY, THE GOOD THINGS RANGE USES SUPERFRUIT BEAUTY BOOSTER IN GENTLE, SUPER-EFFECTIVE FORMULATIONS AND IS SPECIALLY DESIGNED TO MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR SKIN."
What did I think?
Call me childish, but I half expected the colour of the product itself to be a nice pale pink or purple (owing to the pretty packaging) but was surprised to find it was a grim, Hallowe'en-y green.
That said, the mask itself was lovely. Easy to apply and it really did dry in 5 minutes. Its avocado and goji berry scent was not too overpowering and the face pack seemed to glide on the skin.
After five minutes was up, the product was easily washed off with cleanser and luke warm water (unusual for those products that have a clay-like texture on your skin).
I've used this a couple of times now. The first time I suffered a mild break out a few days later, but dismissed this as hormonal, as after using it a second time my skin remained clear and soft.
Which face pack should I try next? Do leave your recommendations in the comments below. Have you tried this face pack - and what did you think?
