From the Archives: Juliette Lewis Rocks Out Amongst the Bookshelves

Tonight's From the Archives' post sees me dig out an interview from July 2009.

Hollywood actress Juliette Lewis visited the town I work in - Morecambe - for a live gig in a library - yep, you read that right.

This was perhaps the most exciting news since HM The Queen came to the seaside resort to unveil the Eric Morecambe statue. And that was BIG news.

Without further ado, here's the interview/feature I speedily wrote less than an hour before our newspaper deadline the morning after Juliette's Morecambe gig. In the words of The Four Seasons "Oh what a night!".

If you don't fancy reading the full interview, here's a saucy little snippet anyway....

"Having 'prepared herself' by watching online clips of Lancaster Library's 'Get it Loud' gigs, Juliette is eager to take to the stage later.

"I saw a film of one of these gigs and it sounded incredible, "she explained.
"That's what you want to know as a musician – that it's gonna sound good.
"The sound is pretty massive. It's bigger and more rocking than some little rock clubs."
